Responsible for assisting the Director of Rehabilitation in implementing, organizing, and directing Rehabilitation services at the Jewish Home at Rockleigh and the Jewish Home Assisted Living. Provides leadership and supervision to all Rehabilitation staff members. Oversees therapy caseloads across all patient populations, Rehabilitation staff practices and efficiency, and compliance with regulatory agencies. Point person for planning weekend therapy at the Jewish Home at Rockleigh, and supervising weekend Rehabilitation staff. Point of contact and liaison for insurance companies and hospital organizations affiliated with the Jewish Home. Advocates for patients receiving and in need of additional skilled care at the Jewish Home at Rockleigh. Collaborates closely with interdisciplinary care team members and physicians to ensure highest quality of care to all patients receiving services under the Jewish Home Family.

Provided Occupational Therapy treatment under a supervising Occupational Therapist to patients at the Jewish Home at Rockleigh and the Jewish Home Assisted living (Short Term, Long Term, and Outpatient). Provided ADL re-training, therapeutic exercises and activities, neuromuscular re-education training, group therapy, and wheelchair training to patients recovering from or living with a variety of diagnoses and disorders. Collaborated with the Occupational Therapist to establish a plan of care to maximize the patients level of function and quality of life. Conducted home evaluations to promote safe patient discharges. Clinical instructor to OT Assistant level 1 and level 2 students. Provided family trainings and staff inservices. Provided coverage for the Director of Rehabilitation during planned absences.

Provided leadership and direction to Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and support staff at this Skilled Nursing Facility. Performed rehabilitation department tasks and activities including fiscal management and reporting, managing MDS, development of therapist schedules, therapy program development and evaluation. Maintained compliance with company policies and procedures. Lead facility utilization review and supervised therapist caseloads in order to promote the highest quality of care at this setting.

Provided Occupational Therapy Treatment both individually and within a group setting to patients recovering from and living with a variety of disorders and diagnoses including Cardiac and Pulmonary Diseases, Stroke, TBI, Spinal Cord Injuries, Orthopedic injuries, Dementia, and other related ailments. Collaborated with the Occupational Therapist to carry out the patient plan of care, provided home exercise programs, family training and education, DME assessment, and facility inservices. Clinical instructor to Level 2 OT Assistant Fieldwork student. Received thorough training from the DOR and Regional DOR for future position as Director of Rehabilitation.

Provided Occupational Therapy to individuals recovering from Spinal Cord Injury and Traumatic Brain Injury. Provided treatment interventions that included basic and instrumental activities of daily living re-training, ambulatory and non ambulatory functional mobility training, fine and gross motor strengthening, upper extremity neuromuscular re-education, splinting cognitive re-training, and patient/family education. Collaborated with the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary care team to ensure highest quality of care.
