I have had to be a one on one associate in a special education classroom. I have assisted throughout the day with daily behavioral problems, anger issues and lack of motivation for doing work. Also assisted with the whole class most days making sure children get their work done, help them if needed, tested children outside the classroom on spelling and math. My biggest skill i have is patients and to help sooth the children in need, weather its as simple as listening, or walking with them in the hallway, and breathing exercises.
On a Daily Basis I was a substitute for whoever needed me that day to cover.
I had many different experiences and learned a lot from all the different classrooms especially different coping mechanisms with children that have behavioral problems.
