Served as an Aviation Operations Sergeant for Charlie Company DUSTOFF Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC), directly supporting the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) and Fort Johnson.

· Managed the dispatch and accountability of the organizational aviation fleet of rotary wing aircraft, including the Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk, the UH72A Lakota Light Utility Helicopter, and the Sikorsky UH-60M helicopter.

· Planned and directed the development, review, and execution of aviation operations; responsible for direct oversight and all supporting aviation functions including regulatory compliance, aviation requirements validation, fleet composition, and aircraft assignments, aircrew qualifications, training and standardization, maintenance, aircraft readiness reporting, supply, aviation medicine to include aeromedical waivers, life support systems, contractor flight and ground operations, resource management, flying hour program, risk management and safety.

· Evaluated the suitability and serviceability of equipment, and facilities both during day-to-day operations and during the annual Aviation Resource Management Survey (ARMS) inspections.

· Authored, organized, scheduled, conducted, evaluated, staffed, and published the result of the ARMS inspection. Provided airworthiness cognizance and oversight for aviation operations within the Command. Act as the command’s aviation liaison and subject matter expert to subordinate commands and was responsible for recommending to senior management the initiation of new aviation policies and procedures to resolve unique problems that are not adequately addressed under present regulations.

· Provided essential flight tracking information for all pilots and crew-members. Used effective oral communication to coordinate mission assignments and brief/inform aircrews and passengers of various flight requirements in normal and emergency situations.

· Maintain flight strip/air traffic log recording all aircraft movement consisting of inbound, outbound, and local flights. Receives inbound information and forward to tower and other personnel as necessary. Reviews and coordinates procedures for flight following, noise abatement, and sensitive areas to be avoided.

· Provided daily operational support for Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC) training operations. Responsible for processing and issuing of all aviation life support and operational support equipment. Performed minor radio equipment maintenance and equipment inspections.

· Communicated team consensus and recommendations to the supervisor on actions affecting the team and individual awards, rewards, and recognition. Prepared and submitted memorandums and legal forms for case-by-case situations for personnel, prepared and submitted legal forms ranging from request for school, duty assignments, name changes, accountability, and separation forms.

· Initiates the primary and secondary crash rescue alert net in the event notification of an emergency/crash is received either by radio or telephonically. Coordinates and maintains liaison with military, federal, international, and local agencies concerning flight planning, training route utilization, flight movement messages, search/rescue operations, and base contingency/operational plans.
