The major responsibilities for this position involve demonstrating excellent time management skills while juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. I educate patients, families and caregivers on diagnosis, treatment options, and management options. This position also requires me to communicated with healthcare team members to plan, implement and enhance treatment strategies.

Daily responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to, gathering patient health data through interviews and observation, then documenting that data in electronic records. Executing all routes of medication administration, catheter insertion, and airway management is also a part of this role's duties. Assessing the medical status of patients pre and post operation by checking vital signs and supervising food intake is included in this role as well.

Task executed on a daily basis included completing the inpatient admission process, administering medications accurately in a timely manner, and responding to any signs of decline in the patient's health. I also managed and assessed central lines, foley catheters, G-tubes, NG- tubes, and tracheostomies. Other duties I took on were charge nurse and new nurse preceptor.

My responsibilities at Northwestern Memorial Hospital included distributing medications, completing patient's physical assessments, communicating with other members of the healthcare team, and responding to emergent situations. My daily task involved utilizing hospital protocols to maintain patient safety. I also referred to my nursing knowledge base to educate patients.

At Advocate Trinity Hospital I worked on a contact isolation medical surgical unit. My daily responsibilities included completing head to toe assessments of my patients, admitting new patients to the unit, evaluating my patient's mobility status, distributing scheduled medications, and monitoring the patient's vital signs and laboratory results. The position I held also required that I communicate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team such as physical therapist, speech therapist, and imaging technicians. Additional job requirements associated with my position at Advocate included delegating task to nurse's aids, providing quality customer service, and educating my patients on health maintenance and promotion.

During my time at Alden, my responsibilities included passing scheduled medications to patients, completing wound care for the patients, evaluating the patient's mobility status, and maintaining patient safety. This position also required that I execute physician orders, delegate task to the nurse's aids and communicate with laboratory technicians.
