My life's mission is to bridge cultural and linguistic gaps, to create mutual understanding between people from different backgrounds. In 2022, I completed my Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification, as teaching has become my passion. While completing this certification, I worked with children in the English Language Learners (ELL) program at a local elementary school. Since June 2023, I have volunteered weekly at a local non-profit, Fox Valley Literacy, teaching immigrants English. In the spring of 2024, I studied in South Korea, completing my Asian studies minor. In the summer of 2025, I was accepted into an internship in Japan, partnered with the Board of Education, teaching English in public schools. Most recently, I have been working with Winnebago County as a Public Affairs intern. My long-term goals include continuing my Japanese language studies, as well as continuing my education in International Affairs, to work toward becoming a Foreign Officer or Diplomat.
