For Real People Internship, Los Angles California August 2024-January 2025
This internship shared a mission to address the interconnectedness of environmental health, mental health, and physical health issues affecting marginalized communities through research, outreach, and community engagement. I was able to assist in gathering and analyzing data related to mental health issues. Summarize findings, identify gaps in current knowledge, and contribute to the development of research methodologies, Collaborate with a team to design and implement outreach strategies aimed at educating the community about Mental health issues and promoting sustainable practices. Help organize and participate in workshops, events, and informational sessions. I also, contributed to the creation of detailed reports and presentations based on research findings and help prepare materials for dissemination to stakeholders, including community members, policymakers, and other organizations.

This internship provided me with hands-on experience where I was able to shadow a middle school counselor in the mental health psychology field. This was a semester-long internship from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm, at the end of the internship I had to give a detailed presentation to the internship psychology board.
