Accomplishments

  • Completed 4 years of AVID in high school. AVID's mission is to close the opportunity gap by preparing all students for college and career readiness and success in a global society. We were taught and graded on organization skills, time management, involvement with community, writing skills, strategies for success, communication skills (oral and written), and goal setting. While being required to take more challenging classes (such as Pre-AP, AP and classes eligible for college credits) and maintaining A/B grades.
  • Commissioned by a Private Equity Firm in Dallas to cover previous mural, design and paint a new one that fit with office work environment and company esthetic. The mural was a vector mountain landscape using mainly blues to bring calming presence to office staff. The showed environmental awareness, contract negotiation, attention to detail, project organization and execution.

Hobbies

Reading is my primary hobby. In 2023 between June - December I read 63 books (ranging from 200 - 1000+ pages each). My goal for 2024 is to read 100 books. This hobby had a positive impact on my vocabulary, reading pace, ability to retain information, creativity and finding patterns.

Additional Information

  • Verified patient eligibility for Ferring Heartbeat program through AllianceRX (2021-2023). The programs intentions were to help cover the cost of select medications used in egg preservation procedures for eligible women with a recent cancer diagnosis before they started treatment. Demonstrated compassion and sympathy while asking required difficult medical questions about recent diagnosis. Listened to women tell me the most devastating stories of their diagnosis. Experienced their words of relief when approved and console those who were denied while help look for other possible financial assistance.
  • Involved myself in community functions and events. Worked 80+ hours of community service (2015-2020). Portioned food for families around Thanksgiving and Christmas with the Little Elm food bank. Helped with fundraisers for Friends of the Library. Tasks included helping organize and coordinate events, waiting tables during trivia nights , encouraging people in silent auction , making good relations with potential investors. Worked various odd jobs for city events such as setting up, selling tickets, working in food stands, cleaning up trash, helping organize kids for choir performances, and cleaning up.
