Staff RN – 2:1 nurse/patient ratio.

• Operate and interpret readings from fetal monitoring equipment and implementing interventions as appropriate.
• Manages titration of oxytocin in an appropriate manner while assessing contraction pattern and fetal tolerance.
• Manages patient’s pain through support of patient’s birth plan or through the request of an epidural or nitrous oxide.
• Performs immediate post-delivery care and education of mother and infant.
• Prepares patients and assists physician during pushing, delivery, examinations and surgical procedures.
• Builds positive and trusting relationships with patients and their support person by continuously educating patient and support person through subsequent events, activities and expectations.

High Risk Obstetrical RN

• Identify and manage high risk obstetrical conditions including but not limited to: preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, HIV, multiple fetuses, disseminated intravascular coagulation, and obstetrical hemorrhages.
• Manage the care of patients who require telemetry monitoring, arterial lines, nicardipine drips, insulin drips and Jada or Bakri care.
• Collaborates with physicians to quickly assess patients and deliver appropriate treatment while managing rapidly changing conditions.
• Responds to emergency situations such as fetal distress, emergent caesarean sections, hemorrhages, cord prolapses, eclamptic seizures, amniotic fluid embolisms, and maternal strokes

Triage RN – 4:1 nurse/patient ratio.

• Evaluates and assesses patient’s needs based on signs and symptoms, prioritize treatments according to urgency of need, initiate medical care to patients arriving at OB Triage.
• Part of care coordination team alongside the physician.
• Work along side hospital Emergency Department to triage OB patients and transport patient to appropriate location.

• Provided comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative assistance and education to patients undergoing a variety of plastic surgery procedures.
• Managed patient’s postoperative care which included but not limited to: education, treatments, progress pictures, foam/compression dressings removal, drain removal, suture/staple removals, and wound care.
• Managed and coordinated surgeon’s follow-up appointments and schedule.
• Assisted and transported patients from the surgical center to a local hotel or place of residency. If requested by the patient, RN would provide 48-72-hour overnight postoperative care.
• Prepared and assisted surgeon with in office neuromodulator injections and cosmetic procedures – Educated patients about injectable procedures along with post procedure expectations.
• Developed strong professional relationships and credibility with sales representatives, account managers and vendors to keep adequate amount of supplies in office.
• Provided Fire and Ice Facials and VI Peels.
