- Trouble shoot outages to fix the problem or temporarily provide power until another crew can get out there and fix the problem.
- Splicing overhead and underground primary and secondary wire.
- Climbed wood poles to install lines, change out transformers and connect new service.
- Operate digger derrick truck. Pull and set poles.
- Opened switches or attached grounding devices to remove electrical hazards from disturbed or fallen lines.
- Patrolled lines and reported defective equipment, down lines, trees on line, during or after a storm.
- Tested conductors to identify corresponding conductors and prevent incorrect connections.
- Switched and grounded underground wire to be able to work safely.
