  • Identified gaps in programming, and built projects such as a community listening interview project for food sovereignty, to move from a food access attempt towards a food sovereignty aspiration
  • Organized the "Local Food as Community Resilience" 4-part event series by collaborating with community leaders, coordinating logistics, and facilitating the events
  • Initiated racial equity efforts within the organization by facilitating discussions, researching, developing tracking and accountability systems, and advocating for more radical and impactful work like land transitions and reparations
  • Operated farmers' markets by entering market data in Google Sheets, marketing, hosting special events, surveying farmers and customers, and amending policies
  • Upgraded the Double Up Food Bucks program by building efficiencies, community outreach, co-creating surveys and research studies, and fundraising

TRANSformation Project November 2020- Present

  • Co-facilitated a 5-week workshop on transgender and nonbinary literacy


Queer Farmers Event December 2021

  • Organized Boone's Winter Farmers' Market's first Queer Farmers Day with a queering farming activity, queer farmer trivia, the Southern Queer Zine, and a trans guest vendor


STAY Project Summer Institute July 2021

  • Attended a full-day radical leadership training for Queer and BIPOC Youth in Appalachia


SEWSA Conferences March 2018 & 2019

  • Presented "Contaminating 'Natural' Boundaries, a decolonial analysis on humans, nature, and waste"
  • Presented "Bodies & Borders: A Queer-Feminist Engagement" on the instability of bodily and geographic borders and the implications of this for environmental justice, trans politics, and border politics
