Cardiothoracic Stepdown nurse,

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for post–cardiac surgery patients, including those with chest tubes, temporary pacemakers, and complex arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic parameters, and vital signs to detect changes in patient status and intervene promptly.
• Manage chest tubes, ensuring proper drainage, site integrity, and infection control.
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and stability.
• Assist in emergency interventions such as code blues, rapid responses, and post-operative complications.
• Educate patients and families about recovery expectations, wound care, and lifestyle modifications following cardiac surgery.
