Since spending the entirety of my life surrounded by Bryce Canyon, I have always had the opportunity to be, well, anything I wanted to be. Coming from a town with no more than 400 people, a school with 130 students, and an area with over two million visitors per year, I've learned to wear a few hats. My small community teaches me to be a good neighbor, a kind friend, and a reliable worker. A small school teaches me the value of teamwork and determination. However, my employment has provided me with skills only a few can experience daily. Valuable skills include cultural competence, prioritization, stress management, and being a good learner.
These skills work in perfect harmony to assist in building personal relationships with customers and coworkers. They allow me to be mindful of those who are different than me and, in turn, strengthen the integrity of the company and myself. I work efficiently by quickly prioritizing customers' needs and assisting my coworkers as needed. My ability to compartmentalize allows me to be a good employee, a compassionate friend, and a contributing family member. Being a good learner means that I am infinitely curious and value knowledge in a way that helps me in all aspects of life.
