Alhambra is an upscale dinner theatre that offers a fine-dining experience and craft cocktails. Working here has given me a breadth of knowledge on wine-pairings and unique cocktails not often ordered in most bars. With each new show, we design drinks specifically catered to the atmosphere and content of the show.. Also oversaw management and ordering of inventory.
The Pier was a high volume nightclub with a young clientele. Bars were usually three deep, so speed was paramount to my success. I was rostered during peak shifts and helped develop a training program for new staff.
Milanos is an intimate, family-owned Italian restaurant with homemade ingredients and handout ice. Success here was dependent on establishing relationships with the many regulars who frequent here almost nightly. Working here gave me the opportunity to learn a different side of bartending and was a great counterpoint to the volume bartending at The Pier.
Copper was a gastropub that specialized in having beer from around the country. With over 40 taps, we developed knowledge on just about any kind of beer that is brewed and the best way to enjoy them.
