On June 24, 2021 I had graduated from nursing school. Since graduating I began working at Hudson Headwaters Health Network as a Graduate Practical Nurse (GPN). I then passed the NCLEX on August 18,2021. I pursued my career at Hudson Headwaters as a LPN in the primary care office, until October of 2021. I continued pursuing my career as a LPN at Community Health, Express Care in Castleton, VT until March of 2022. I then returned to Hudson Headwaters Health Network in March of 2022. I now continue to strengthen my skills that I learned in school during clinical and currently in the doctor's office. I feel passionate about primary care and urgent care. Although, I am willing to widen my experience and knowledge in other areas. My peers would describe me as compassionate, motivated, enthusiastic, dependable, and hard working. Currently routine duties include infection control, updating electronic medical records, obtaining vitals and administering medications oral, IM and Sub-Q.
-Daily routine involves checking in patients, obtaining vital signs, updating electronic medical records, performing wound care, confirming current medications and allergies.
-Responsibilities include urinalysis, medication administration oral, IM and Sub-Q.
-Performing nurse visits that include patient education due to previous and current medical diagnoses such as diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and at home medication administration oral, IM and Sub-Q.
-Daily routine involves checking in patients, obtaining vital signs, updating electronic medical records, performing wound care, confirming current medications and allergies.
-Responsibilities include urinalysis, medication administration oral, IM and Sub-Q.
-Assisting with in office procedures such as suture and staple placement and removal, wound packing, and cyst removal. I draw blood with lab orders, place walking boots, knee immobilizers, arm and wrist casts, and mold and apply splints.
-Responsibilities include knowledge in infection control procedure, fire safety, disaster plans, and ergonomics skills. Also, assisting with activities of daily living, obtaining vital signs, and observe and report changes in patient status.
-I provide care for patients of all ages with diseases or disorders of the following systems:
Integumentary, respiratory, muscle skeletal, endocrine, nervous, lymphatic, gastrointestinal, cardiovascular and urinary.
