In the emergency room setting, I am chiefly responsible for both radiologic imaging and computed tomography examinations, as well as training for new employees. My secondary responsibilities include in-house lab work. I also perform an immense amount of patient care (triage, IV placement, patient comfort) as well as assist the physician with procedures when needed. I have been heavily involved in community outreach through RCEH.
In the emergency room setting, I am chiefly responsible for both radiologic imaging and computed tomography examinations, as well as training for new employees. My secondary responsibilities include all in-house lab work (ie: CBC, CMP, rapid testing, SARS-COV-2, ESR, Cardiac Enzymes, etc.). I also perform an immense amount of patient care (triage, IV placement, patient comfort) as well as assist the physician with procedures when needed. I have also been responsible for the supply ordering for 3 facilities. I enjoy working in a smaller enviroment that gives me the ability to perform many different tasks across many different areas of the medical profession.
At Pain Care of North Texas, my day to day responsibilities were to perform radiographic imaging using the C-arm, as well as prepping the OR and autoclave cleaning of sterile instruments. Outside of the OR, I worked directly with our nurse manager as well as administrator as the RSO for the company. I took on the responsibility of ordering supplies for both the surgery center as well as the associated clinic. I was also in charge of the maintenance of the C-arm and other instruments inspected by Texas Biomedical, as well as Physicists for the upkeep and radiation inspections. I was responsible for all the certifications, licences, and registrations required by TDH. I maintained all information and met with TDH inspectors during radiology appointments. In addition, I took on the task of inputting ICD-10 information for billing.
