Taylor Willett

Hello, I'm Taylor Willett! I grew up in Evansville, Indiana and plan to become a Pharmacist. I currently attend Purdue University and am in their Pre-Pharmacy program as a Year 1 student. I'm unsure what field I will be going into, but have loved all that I've learned about pharmacy so far. As a person, I am outgoing, kind-hearted, determined, and creative!

• Student Council- volunteer in school community and over town. Ex: Salvation Army Bell Ringing, Reitz Football Concession Stand, helping with Homecoming, Fall Festival Special Kids Day, dance set ups, school recycling, Freshmen Orientation, Reitz Blood Drive (60 hours total)
• Swim team Captain- led both girl and boys team, encourage team spirit, give pep talks, correct mistakes, support entire team and maintain schedule and practices, and volunteer time to time for meets and support boys after season ends (30 hours volunteer timing)
• Chick fila Leadership Academy- volunteer time used to help the community, so far we have put together a project and gave kids at various elementary schools free books, put together free gift baskets and visited a nursing home to play christmas games, and am in the process of putting together a project to grow a garden at a local school. (11 volunteer hours)
• National Honors Society- shows leadership and responsibility in high school, service hours spent tutoring other kids in need of help (8 service hours)
• Evansville Country Club Swim Team- coach summer swim team, 8 to 10 years old. Lead them in practices and instruction and correct swimming form and drills as well as supervise the children to prevent accidents and drowning. (30 volunteer hours)
• Science Department Teacher Assistant- make and demonstrate chemistry labs at Reitz High School. Put together solutions and take down labs and sanitize the lab area and classroom for safety. Demonstrates proper safety precautions. (by the end, over 150 hours)
