As weekend maintenance porter at metropolisis parking, I am responsible for maintaining 5 parking garages in the Southlake Union area. My typical day includes;

  • Signing into a company phone to receive maintenance request
  • Checking functionality of kiosks, arms, screens and insuring recipt paper is sufficient.
  • Walk garages checking for damage, suspicious activity, and picking up any garbage left.
  • Answer customer questions and concerns.
  • Respond and complete any maintenance requests.

During my time at Pratt Industries, I thrived in multiple positions in the corrugating manufacturing department. I received great reviews, position advancements, and contributed to record-breaking production speeds while reducing waste.

Hired on, I started as a load leveler on the "dry end" of the corrugator, serving around nine months in that position before advancing to a helper position on the "wet end," labeled as the floater. After just a couple of months as a floater, I was quickly promoted to double backer, where I spent the rest of my time at the company. I had many responsibilities contributing to each position; a few of them include:

  • Operating belts and stackers.
  • Quality inspection, communication, and adjustments.
  • Knowledge and operation of various control panels responsible for various adjustments.
  • Preparation and completion of successful splices.
  • Timing and executing floot changes with precision.
  • Clear communication using headsets.
  • Pallet building along with the use of pallet jacks.
  • Some accomplishments include:
