When I first got to high school, I was pretty lazy and didn’t really care much about school or studying. I wasn’t motivated and just did the bare minimum. But over time, I realized that wasn’t going to get me anywhere. I started working harder, studying more, and trying to actually do better for myself.
My Grandpa saw I was trying to change so he hired me to help with lawn care, which taught me how to stick to a routine and put in real effort. I also helped take care of my grandparents’ cats while they were out of town on multiple trips. That taught me a lot about responsibility. Even before that, back when I lived in Colorado, I helped babysit a neighbor’s cats for a week while they were gone.
All these things made me grow as a person. I’ve gotten more responsible, more disciplined, and I’m working hard to become the best version of myself. I’m not perfect, but I’ve come a long way from where I started.
