Tyler Collins

I am an aspiring electrical engineer currently majoring in Energy and Power Electronics Systems at Virginia Polytechnic Institute. My skill set includes proficiency in circuit design and programming languages such as Python, C++, and MATLAB. I have practical experience in microcontroller and embedded system design, power systems, and electromagnetics, complemented by hands-on experience in instrumentation and measurement.

My analytical and problem-solving abilities have been demonstrated in projects like the development of an autonomous tractor, where I led hardware development and system integration. This project highlights my technical acumen and project management skills, which are essential in collaborative engineering environments.

As a dedicated learner, I am actively enhancing my skills in digital signal processing, PCB design and layout, and control systems through coursework. My involvement in extracurricular activities, including the National Society of Black Engineers and Virginia Tech Men's Rugby team, showcases my teamwork and leadership abilities.

Possessing strong communication skills, I am adept at articulating complex technical concepts clearly. My collaborative spirit is evident in my ability to work effectively in diverse teams, and I am prepared to apply and expand my skills in a challenging engineering environment.
