Work History

Registered Nurse

Orlando Health
Clermont, FL
03.2025 - Current
  • I am currently a hard-working registered nurse in the postpartum, mother, and baby unit at South Lake Hospital. I have been trained to care for postpartum mothers, and newborns within their first week of life.
  • I specialize in accurate medication administration and postpartum and newborn specific assessments with fundamental knowledge in postpartum hemorrhage, and critical care for mother and baby.
  • I diligently and accurately administer blood products, as well as manage magnesium drips, while performing routine assessments and vital sign monitoring.
  • I continue to advocate for all patients and ensure safe discharge for all mothers and babies.

Registered Nurse

Orlando Health – Dr. Phillips Hospital
09.2024 - Current
  • I am currently an RN on the neuro-oncology unit at DPH, where I have developed many skills and gained an abundance of knowledge on this unit, including maintaining a patient care team of 6-7 patients, utilizing the standards of nursing, stroke education and care, and the specialized care for oncology patients. On this unit, I perform daily head-to-toe assessments, collaborate with a team of attending and consulting physicians, perform patients' daily tasks, administer medications hourly, and maintain a strong relationship with my patients and their families to advocate for them to the best of my ability. I have completed cases of complex admissions and discharges, and meticulously collaborated with the case management team. I care for those with fragile hemodynamic stability, and I perform total care on all patients. Within two months, I became a certified preceptor, and I have now become the lead preceptor for the unit.

Registered Nurse

Orlando Health – Bayfront Hospital
10.2023 - 06.2024
  • I spent time as RN at Bayfront hospital as part of the Orlando Health group. I previously worked as a nurse resident which prepared me for my role as an RN very well. I cared for six patients per shift and worked in the medical-surgical/telemetry unit. I provided safe, patient-centered care and consistently demonstrate caring behaviors towards my patients. I take pride in being the biggest advocate for my patients and I always take time to provide proper education to each of my patients to ensure understanding. I worked to achieve the highest level of care, according to the Orlando Health guidelines.

Nurse Resident

Orlando Health – Dr. P Phillips Hospital
05.2023 - 10.2023
  • Once I graduated nursing school, I was transitioned into a nurse resident position where I worked directly alongside the RN and performed all nursing tasks as an RN would under their guidance. I was trained in assessing up to 6 patients a shift, administered all medications and completed lab draws. I became competent in working with peripheral IV lines, midlines, PICC lines and implantable ports. This position taught me to put the fundamentals of nursing into practice in the clinical setting which allowed me to practice the basic nursing skills while working with the RN’s of the unit. This prepared me to have my own assignment of patients while also allowing me to revise for my NCLEX examination. During my time in this position, I was checked off on all basic nursing tasks and skills and I was ready for my own patient assignment upon passing the NCLEX.

Student Nurse Intern

Orlando Health – Dr. P Phillips Hospital
10.2022 - 05.2023
  • As a student nurse intern, I was trained as a patient care technician to perform vital sign checks, glucose checks, draw blood and perform basic hygiene tasks with all of my patients. I took pride in assisting my patients with their daily living activities and promoting independence under the guidance of the RN. While in this position, I developed the basic skills of healthcare in the clinical setting and it fully prepared me for my transition into being an RN. I had a strong sense for patient care following my training in this position and I worked to achieve the highest standard of patient care according to the Orlando Health guidelines and expectations.
