• EMERGENCY MEDICINE Attending Physician from December 2018 to current position as of May 2024...working as full time locum tenens physician.
• Practiced full scope emergency medical treatments involved in EMERGENCY CARDIOLOGY , including frequent cardioversion and defibrillation prn for ACS and other various emergency cardiology emergencies.
• Practiced full scope EMERGENCY NEUROLOGY stabilization care and arranged for helicopter transport to stroke center for any and all cases brought by into critical access rural hospitals I practiced in, such as SAH, CVST, intraparenchymal hemorrhage and anterior and posterior CVA.
• Assessed and treated all OB/GYN cases and all NEWBORN/PEDIATRIC cases as well as ADOLESCENT MEDICINE cases that came into our critical care rural Minnesota hospitals.
• Served as a liaison between the Emergency Department and other hospital units, improving interdisciplinary cooperation and efficiency.
• Developed educational materials for patients regarding common conditions treated within an emergency setting, improving understanding of their diagnosis and treatment
• Assessed and treated any and all cases of EMERGENCY TOXICLOGY due to accidental or intentional overdose cases which presented via ambulance to our ED.
• Assessed, stabilized and treated/transported to Level I trauma center... all levels of trauma cases from multiple penetrating wounds to blunt trauma.
• Upheld and followed EBM protocols based on current guidelines, ensuring adherence to best practice standards in emergency medicine.
• Strengthened relationships with local EMS providers by participating in collaborative training exercises and sharing best practices in pre-hospital care.
• Determined all emergency medical situations and effectively led entire emergency medical management team to treat all ED patients.
• Assessed and reported patients' responses to initiated treatment.
• Referred patients to specialists or other practitioners for treatment.
• Participated in quality improvement initiatives, peer reviews and process development.

• Provided full scope family practice medicine in a clinic office setting, of all ages from newborn to geriatrics, and provided them with in-depth information about conditions and treatment plans for any medical conditions.
• Also covered full scope Urgent Care at same Tanner Clinic during after hours for 5 - 8 shifts/month 4 and 10 hour shifts.
• Reduced hospital readmission rates through thorough discharge planning and follow-up care coordination.
• Ensured compliance with regulatory guidelines by maintaining accurate electronic health records and protocols.
• For 10 years of my 15 years at the Tanner Clinic outpatient practice , I also concurrently performed hospitalist duties in the Davis North Hospital and admitted to the inpatient hospitalist service for 15 Family Practice Physicians.

After practicing as a full scope family physician in Beaver Utah for 1 year... I hired an accountant and an attorney and my wife and 4 kids and I took a chance and opened my own solo family practice in Tooele Utah. This lasted four years and then I switched to Locum tenants emergency medicine for two years full-time and closed my rural solo practice in Tooele.

After practicing four years as a family practice physician in Tooele Utah, I decided to go full-time Locum tenants emergency medicine and work in various rural communities in Arizona, and Utah. This was very fulfilling but after two years I knew I needed to be home with my growing children… And therefore I closed my Locum tenant practice and moved to Layton to join the Tanner clinic from 2003 to 2018. This was a four-year period in which I established my own professional corporation and simply opened my own rural Tooele county medical practice as a solo family practice physician. My duties and responsibilities were identical to the ones listed above with the sole exception of I no longer did major obstetric and gynecologic surgeries such as hysterectomies but I was first assistant with a general/cardiothoracic surgeon on many cases over a four year period.
