Ted Burningham

Layton,Utah

Summary

I am married to the former Suzy Bullough and together we have six children with only one still living at home who is currently serving a mission in Africa. We have 15 grandchildren with one more on the way in two months, July 2024.

I absolutely love astronomy, watching college football and basketball on TV and mountain biking…although most of the time these days it is on the street roads. I LOVE people and LOVE the practice and teaching of medicine...especially teaching medical students and residents.

EMERGENCY MEDICINE Attending MD (Locum)

Ted Burningham MD PC
Tooele Utah
05.2001 - 06.2003

After practicing four years as a family practice physician in Tooele Utah, I decided to go full-time Locum tenants emergency medicine and work in various rural communities in Arizona, and Utah. This was very fulfilling but after two years I knew I needed to be home with my growing children… And therefore I closed my Locum tenant practice and moved to Layton to join the Tanner clinic from 2003 to 2018. See above for emergency medicine attending physician spectrum of practice and various procedures and skills I learned throughout this two year period.

Family Practice Attending Physician

Ted Burningham MD PC

This was a four-year period in which I established my own professional corporation and simply opened my own rural Tooele county medical practice as a solo family practice physician. My duties and responsibilities were identical to the ones listed above with the sole exception of I no longer did major obstetric and gynecologic surgeries such as hysterectomies but I was first assistant with a general/cardiothoracic surgeon on many cases over a four year period. See above description for my family practice duties for more details about my time during this period of practice as well.
