Work History

Microsoft

Principal Project Manager
01.2015 - 02.2025

Job overview

  • Led and managed high-impact identity solutions (IDP for Zero Trust, ICAM & IGA), security projects (SIEM) and cybersecurity services (RMF/DoDI 8500.01/DoDI 8510.01), specializing in supporting DoD customers, overseeing budgets up to $21M/year while driving cloud-based enterprise solutions. Spearheaded pre-sales efforts, conducting SOW reviews, requirements gathering, budgetary estimates, and resource structuring to align with financial parameters. I have led up to four concurrent projects, but majority of time focused on enterprise identity provider for DoD engagements.
  • Key Projects & Achievements:
  • Identity Provider (IDP) for DoD M365 Tenants: Led Azure IL5/IL6 IDP deployments for DoD M365, syncing 4M identities across agencies; achieved 68% adoption across 600+ applications, including ICOFR financial systems. Our solution also provisioned VoIP / Teams / voice & data (telecommunications) services.
  • Air-Gapped Communications Framework: Established critical relationships across multiple internal Microsoft teams, fostering cohesion that enabled 70 engineers to securely communicate via air-gapped (SIPRNet) email. IMPACT: Previously reliant on fragmented communications (Azure storage accounts), this transformation improved structured troubleshooting, accelerated case resolution, and enhanced customer satisfaction.
  • Achieved 96% contract renewal rate and top CPARS marks over a 10-year span.

Microsoft

Senior Consultant & Principal Consultant

Job overview

  • Served in strategic advisory roles across multiple commercial & DoD agencies, delivering identity, security, and enterprise architecture solutions while collaborating with Microsoft product group teams to drive innovation.
  • Key Projects & Achievements:
  • Token-Based Activation for Windows & Office: Collaborated with US government agencies to develop a license activation framework, influencing Microsoft's core OS and Office source code updates and accelerating Vista & Windows 7 adoption across DoD. IMPACT: Enabled the immediate deployment of 2M Windows 7 client OS seats across DoD by removing key adoption blockers.
  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for Outlook Web Access (OWA): Led implementation of smart card authentication, influencing Microsoft product teams to modify source code, enabling secure remote email access for DoD personnel. IMPACT: DoD customers deployed solutions worldwide removing blockers of mission-critical communications.
  • Enterprise BitLocker adoption: Secured data-at-rest (DAR) for 800K devices by collaborating with customers and Microsoft product group teams to create comparative content demonstrating the value of enterprise BitLocker adoption. This effort was driven by the need to counter major government data breach incidents, ensuring a more resilient security posture across critical environments. IMPACT: We successfully deployed 800K devices for our primary customers, and 12 other DoD agencies.
  • Tsunami Relief Portal for PACOM (2004): Enabled seamless coordination of all U.S. humanitarian aid for the 2004 tsunami relief effort by managing the backend for PACOM's secure information-sharing portal.
