Clinical Experience

  • Clinical experience in the Emergency Department at Scotland for two clinical rotations. One rotation I was triaging clients that came into the emergency department. My other rotation I was working with a nurse who had assigned rooms. I triaged clients and I hooked up clients to telemetry and got vital signs. I started IV's and gave medicines.
  • Clinical experience in the Emergency Department at Richmond Memorial for one rotation. I was assigned to a nurse who had rooms and we went in got vital signs and hooked them up to telemetry. We looked at their orders and completed them. We gave medicines by IV, pills, and shots.
  • Precepted on Telemetry floor at Scotland. I have admitted and discharged clients, completed blood draws, passed medications, initiated condom catheter, discharged foley catheter, completed a head-to-toe assessment, and documented in their system.
