Staff Management: I currently over see and manage our 11 staff members. Create staff schedules, and process all employee time sheets. Conduct weekly staff meetings to assess all things related to the shelter with them. Work along with employees to make sure all animals are happy, healthy, and safe.
Intake of animals: I am responsible for the intake and assessments of all animals that our brought into our facility. At the time of intake I assess body condition, scan for microchips, and provide a safe space for the animal.
Medical Treatment: On intake I make sure all stray animals ar given flea/tick preventive medication. If injured I clean and assess any wounds or injuries. If needed take injured animal to receive veterinary care. If any animal is on medication, I provide a medical checklist for all volunteers and employees to use as a directive for providing medication to the listed animal.
Outtake of animals: I process all adoption applications, and final adoption protocol for all animals being adopted or transferred out of the shelter.
Grant Writing: When a grant becomes available for us I research all aspects of what it requires, and offers its recipient. If we meet the qualifications I will complete the grant writing process, and submit it in a timely manner.
Community Outreach: I speak with individuals interested in doing fundraising with and for our shelter.
Report Data: Every month I submit our shelters intake and outtakes to Shelter Pet Data Alliance, and Shelter Animal Counts.
