To Whom It May Concern,
I am a recent graduate of Walters State's Physical Therapist Assistant program, and I am looking forward to becoming a practicing PTA. I do not have any experience in this field beyond my clinical rotations, but at each I felt I performed well, and my clinical instructors each stated that they felt I had met or exceeded expectations and was well-prepared to work in the field.
I am dedicated to delivering patient-centered care. I chose to become a PTA because the profession offers me the opportunity to use my skill, knowledge, and life experience to help others while working in a field about which I'm passionate. I am dedicated to accomplishing positive outcomes for my patients, and believe that in treating a patient, one must treat the person in front of them. One should endeavor to ascertain that a patient is informed about their condition, the methods used to treat them, the expected course of their treatment, and work with them to ensure that the goals of the patient and the therapist are one and the same.
Until recently, I was disabled and unable to work. However, I am happy to have recovered and look forward to using my experience to better treat patients. I believe that this experience can help me to connect with people who are facing difficulty. I have a firsthand understanding of how it feels to face a debilitating condition. As such, I believe that I can bring a level of compassion to my practice that will enable me to achieve rapport with my patients and enable better outcomes for them.
Thank you for your time and consideration,

Many of my hobbies involve health and training, which is part of why I was attracted to becoming a PTA. I enjoy weight-lifting, endurance running, flexibility training, and practice martial arts. I have aspirations of someday becoming involved in the sports medicine aspect of the profession.
