During my 6+ year tenure at the Property Appraisers Office, I was afforded the opportunity to view real estate valuation from a Mass Appraisal perspective while utilizing statistics and regression analysis. I gained invaluable experience working with a plethora of talented people and consistently improved my skill set on an annual basis. I utilized state of the art real estate technology, GIS systems, etc. to ensure accuracy, valuation consistency, and overall customer satisfaction.
From October to January every year, my primary role was to engage home owners who disputed or questioned their "Just / Market Value", used as the basis for Ad Valor-em taxation. If no meeting of the minds occurred, my duty as a Deputy Appraiser was to either defend the Just Values or revise them, if warranted. This was accomplished by identifying the problems, creating detailed reports and providing expert witness testimony. This testimony was delivered under oath before independent magistrates, who are leaders in their field.
I began appraising real estate in 2004 under the tutelage of my brother, Barrett Webber. We primarily completed appraisals on single family homes, condominiums, multi unit income producing properties, and vacant land. The majority of our clients were banks and mortgage companies who required our services to facilitate financing and secure mortgages. We also performed market analyses for Realtors for listing purposes, and conducted feasibility studies on vacant land to determine building viability.
After 2 years of working as a trainee, I acquired my State Certification in 2006, (Cert Res #6585)and actively retain this license.
