Accomplishments

1. Community Volunteer with The GIBNA. Help organize events with other community organizations and participate in Health Fairs, performing BP, Diabetes screening.

Provide education/recruitment to students and nurses to facilitate academic growth in the nursing profession.

2. Committee Member GIBNA Scholarship Awards: Organized and planned the 2nd annual scholarship awarded to 6 nursing recipients 2025.

I also mentor an LVN student who is currently enrolled in an RN program, graduation date 2027.

3.Fontana Employee Health Kaiser UBT Co Lead: in 2020, our department started at level 1 and reached level 4.

We worked on incidental overtime, staff set timers to remind them to clock in and out.

We also developed workflow changes to improve screening time for new hires by formatting a 1 sheet paper screening tool each nurse could use as a check off list to help with affordability and waste and attached to each chart, which also cut down on paper use .

Staff agreed on ways to improve communication and recognition. We used a communication box, with cards anyone could use as a way to compliment a co-worker, or note to share thoughts anonymously .

4. My work at Concorde Career College extended beyond my employment. I assisted students with preparation for their state board exams, testing skills and testing anxiety in 2023. Students and graduate nurses continued to reach out to me, one of them just passed her RN boards 1/2026
