I work as a triage nurse in rheumatology My job involves speaking with patients on the phone or by my chart messages and documenting their questions or concerns regarding the treatment plan, medications, refills or symptoms they may be having and forward these questions or concerns to the appropriate provider .I also will notify the pt of any messages from the provider I handle refills per the protocol, schedule appointments,and place orders as instructed by the provider and assist patients with scheduling with other medical providers per referrals .I also call insurance companies for prior authorizations of diagnostic procedures that will be performed outside of our healthcare system .I also speak with pharmacies about medication and refill issues

I worked as a LPN staff nurse and provided care to long term care skilled patients and short term rehab patients My job duties included administering medications, injections ,IV medications and setting up and monitoring feeding tubes ,wound care , documenting in the pt's chart at first then we went to a EMR chart system , inserting and discontinuing catheters , obtaining urine specimens and notifying the facility doctor with any change in medical condition of the patient , transcribed orders and carried out orders as instructed by the provider
