Traveled around the State to provide education on how to perform a specimen collection and the importance of newborn screening. I updated our website and posted upcoming events related to newborn screening. I exhibited at various events to educate on the importance of newborn screening. I also followed the cystic fibrosis cases in the State working closely with UAB.

I worked closely with CMS and did site audits as needed. I did chart audits for Health Homes and reviewed my findings with the appropriate administrator. I wrote and negotiated contracts with providers. I approved and managed funds for various providers. I was a member of the Collaborative Improvement and Innovation Network working closely with Boston University to improve health outcomes.
Provided education to patients regarding their health. Followed up with pati weekly and answered any question. Set up transportation, provided information on food and clothing resources, and medication plans. I worked closely with Easter Seals to find equipment for patients. I also filled in teaching the joint replacement classes with were mandatory for anyone undergoing a knee or hip replacement. We averaged 40-50 people in these classes.
Starting IVs for patients who needed IV contrast. I evaluated their health and renal function and monitored them during the procedure.
I started my career at Jackson as a RN in SICU. I operated heart monitors, ventilators, balloon pumps, arterial lines. I transferred to outpatient surgery where I monitored patients both prior to surgery and after surgery.
