  • Obtaining physician's treatment plans sent to my workque prior to the patient starting chemotherapy.
  • Managed insurance verification processes to ensure accurate patient coverage and benefits.
  • Prepare a complete breakdown of the patient's insurance benefits from the insurance carrier.
  • Obtaining prior authorizations for all IV and chemotherapy drugs for both Voorhees and Sewell Offices.
  • Review and Calculate a patient's estimated potential out of pocket expenses according to their specific insurance benefits.
  • Present the complete breakdown of the insurance benefits, deductible, and co-insurance to the patient and family.
  • Give the patient and the family an opportunity to pay for services at the time of service.
  • Prepare and apply for copay assistance programs, they may qualify for.
  • Refer them to the Financial Advocate Team to apply for Penn Charity Care.
  • Maintain clear and concise communication with doctors and nurses as to the status of assistance and document in patient's medical record.

  • Keep close contact with pharmaceutical representatives and individual drug company assistance programs.
