Summary

Currently work for Crater Community Hospice as a Float Pool RN Case Manager. Prior to this position I worked as an On Call RN. Before becoming hired with Crater Community Hospice I worked in Bone Marrow Transplant at MCV in Richmond VA. Most of my nursing experience was achieved at Hunter Holmes McGuire Veterans Hospital in Richmond Virginia. Caring for Veterans 10 years and 6 months.

Since becoming a nurse I have worked in the Medical/Surgical and Oncology units for 3 years and in the chemotherapy infusion clinic for 5 years. Working in a charge nurse role has given me the opportunity to provide leadership to a group of nurses and establishing care to provide improved patient care through collaborative team work. 2 years of my nursing were in Ambulatory Care/ Same Day Surgical Unit for 2 years. The last 6 months at the VA hospital I operated as a Patient Flow Coordinator.

Working in these areas of nursing has afforded me the opportunity to work in a charge nurse role, and provide leadership to nursing staff through my professional knowledge so that optimal patient care is delivered.

Working in all the various areas of nursing it has allowed me to collaborate as a part of cross-functional teams to meet the needs of patients in demanding environments. I like to work within a solution-oriented environment that seeks to approach conflict in a resolute manner to achieve optimal patient care and safety, and increase staff morale. Also, working in a charge nurse role has afforded me the opportunity to work in a charge nurse role, and provide leadership to nursing staff through my professional knowledge so that optimal patient care is delivered.
