• Assigned Icd-10 and CPT codes to hospital and clinic claims throughout Allina health's 12 hospitals and 90+ clinics. This included all Outpatient patient types -SDS, ER, Observation, radiology, ancillary lab, colonoscopies, egd's, cardiac catherization, stents, ablations, defibrillation, wound clinic, etc...
• Assigned Icd-10 diagnoses and procedure codes to Inpatient labor and newborn charts, and Inpatient mental health charts. I do have previous experience in All hospital based Inpatient types, but I have not coded them for several years.
• Verified that hard coded cpt's were entered correctly and routed to the appropriate que if corrections were needed.
• Followed LCD edits, Medical Necessity edits, and CCI edits to ensure accurate code assignment.
• Abstracted various data elements from the medical record as requested by Allina (point of orgin, discharge disposition, birth weight, patient type, attending and procedure physician and dos).
• Queried provides for clarification or greater specitifity when needed.
• Completed internal department audits, attend weekly and monthly coding meetings and education opportunities, maintained continuing education credits for my RHIT credential.
• Stayed up to date and fluent with Sharepoint, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft office, and Epic/Excellian/360 3M encoder.
• Provided a high level of coding quality and production to meet Allina Health's quality and productivity requirements.
