Responsible for patient check in and patient check out process. Answer and route incoming calls and route to the appropriate destination. Schedule appointments for in clinic consults, follow up appointments, treatments, and labs. Unit secretary for Medical Oncology and Infusion care. Medical records/chart preparation. Commute to NSL outreach clinics, Sunnyside, and Ellensburg to perform same duties.
Lead for outgoing referrals for both Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology. Facilitate and complete outgoing referrals, procedures, diagnostics, tasks/recalls. Obtain authorization for referrals, procedures, and diagnostics when necessary using online resources or phone call directly to the insurance company for clinical review. Create and complete all tasks/recalls for outgoing diagnostics that are due 1-12 months out from the placement order date. Track and transcribe diagnostic orders that have been completed/scheduled. Complete month end reporting for both Medical Oncology and Radiation totals for outgoing referrals, procedures, and diagnostics. Send out muster schedules weekly to all NSL staff.
