Seeing the bigger picture also means taking notice of the smallest details.

As the youngest of 9 warehouse managers within my company of 14 years, I was often told that to be successful you must step back and "see the bigger picture". I realize now, after 6 years of management, the bigger pictures includes the smallest details that could have a major effect on any operation.

In my experience, the bigger picture what I call "the obvious and it takes a special individual to go through the depths to find cracks, leaks or inefficiencies within an organization.
