  • Trained 8,000 faculty across the Virginia Community College system at the beginning of the 2020 pandemic, delivering LMS, Google Suite, online pedagogy and educational tool training totaling roughly 300 hours over the first 8 weeks of the transition, in addition to all regular duties and obligations.
  • Current chair of the Virginia Community College System's eLearning and Educational Technologies (eLET) committee, having served two years as vice chair.
  • As Chair of the eLET state committee, participated in contract negotiations with vendors, produced documentation for multi-factor authentication for students, and led the statewide effort to educate and train faculty at 23 community colleges on Regular & Substantive Interaction (RSI) in expectation of new federal regulations.
  • Responsible for analyzing LMS analytics to evaluate policy adherence and adoption of best practices
  • Worked with Subject Matter Experts to produce course templates for adjunct faculty for our transfer courses, based on internationally recognized design structures through Quality Matters.
  • Lead the Change Management team at Southside to convert faculty and students from the Blackboard LMS to the Canvas LMS.
  • Voting member of multiple Requests for Proposal across the Virginia Community College System for videoconferencing, online tutoring and proctoring to serve roughly 100,000 students, and over 10,000 employees in various roles. Served as the only college representative from the whole system to negotiate with vendors and the procurement offices for the state.
  • Trained faculty at my own institution and the other 22 Virginia community colleges on issues such as accessibility, Universal Design for Learning, Zoom, authentic assessment, hyflex classroom management and various educational tools for online synchronous and asynchronous students in both synchronous and asynchronous formats.
  • Developed and delivered in person, synchronous Zoom and asynchronous training and documentation for faculty at all 23 colleges during the move to Canvas in 2018.
