Communication with surgeons, OR team, PACU. Comfort/Anxiety reducing measures with patients and their families. Warming measures. Ordering supplies PRN.

Charge Nurse for a very busy Interventional Radiology Dept. Responsible for a continuous flow of patients and procedures. Prioritizing patient needs and staff assignments. Emergent procedures for Stroke, Trauma, Vascular etc. Conscious sedation certified. Knowledge of a wide range of procedures Dialysis cath's, Angios, Neph tube placement, GT placement, pain managment...RFA's, ESI's, Joint Injections, Port placment, IV's, Foley's, transfusing blood products, Monitoring patients during procedures, Multi tasking, Interacting with multiple services/physicians & Interventional Radiologist throughout the day. Transport patients to CT as needed

Lead Trauma Nurse @ a Level 2 (now a Level 1) Trauma Center for Adult & Pediatric Patients

Primary responsibility responding to Trauma Activations as the lead nurse working alongside the ER nurse ER MD and the Trauma Team to resusitate, stabilize & transport trauma patients CT, X-RAY, OR, IR and or ICU

Assist with intubations, Vitals, C-Spine prec's, IV's (large bore) Central lines, IO's, Chest Tube set up, massive transfusion, Codes, OGT's Pericardiocentesis, FAST scan, Pelvic binder, meds, pain control,

During downtime rounding on Trauma pts reporting back to Trauma Team, M&M meetings once a week, Yearly trauma conference,

MICN, ATCN, TNCC, ACLS, BLS, NALS

Flight Nurse with Mercy Air. Scene calls. Interfacility transport. NICU team transport. Transferring patients to higher level of care. Intubations, Spinal Prec's, IV's, Radio Contact, Flight safety. Management of lines, pressors, chest tubes & airway during transport of ICU patients. Public safety. Education
