Manages caseloads ranging from 10 to 15 juvenile offenders placed in CORE residential treatment program, including supervising and behaviorally rehabilitating youth placed on determinate sentences for violent and sexual offenses in order to successfully reintegrate back into the community and their homes
Performs complex social service work in interviewing and counseling youth in the CORE program which includes helping youth obtain any legal documentation such as birth certificates, social security card, personal identification cards, also leads youth in group sessions which focuses on overcoming behavioral issues by addressing and processing the traumas and emotions that are associated with any given negative behavior
Remaining in constant contact with juvenile parents, teachers, correctional staff, counselors, and community service providers in order to ensure that youth have as much support as possible while in treatment and once successfully completing and leaving the program
Conducts and facilitates the intake process for youth placed in CORE residential treatment program, coordinates and transports juveniles for various appointments outside the facility, and for placement in and out of county which includes medical appointments, education testing, and furloughs
Develops relationships and communicates regularly with law enforcement, schools, courts, community organizations, Child Protective Services and other social service agencies to help benefit youth and provide any needed support.
Attends court, perform investigations and evaluations of offenders, write social history reports and make appropriate disposition recommendations to the court
Assists with supervision duties which include attending administrative meetings, monitoring time cards, and managing the CORE program when supervisor is absent in order to maintain cohesiveness of team, ensure the program runs properly, and provide mental and professional support for fellow teammates
