Work History
Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant
Labcorp
Panama City, US
02.2022 - Current
I have climbed the ladder here in my time at Ascension/LabCorp, with dedication to achieving excellence in everything I do, which is one of the core values of the Air Force.
I have learned how to lead, answer questions in a timely manner, be a listening ear, and improve the quality of work life here in the lab.
As a Sr. phlebotomist, I have worked alongside the phlebotomy supervisor to alleviate any concerns that arise and help cultivate a positive atmosphere.
In the Sr. phlebotomist position, I have worked on competencies, pulled on-call shifts, helped with the schedules, trained new peers, as well as learned the ins and outs of leadership from my supervisor that I have applied in scenarios that have arisen.
Lab Technician
air force
San Antonio/ Panama City/ Langley Afb, US

I perform phlebotomy, blood analysis, Covid testing, answer calls, and ship specimens.
I used discipline to handle irate patients.
I took the initiative in situations when the supervisor was not around to make sure tasks were still completed satisfactorily.
I supervised the civilians on staff and peers during the receiving of shipments from the truck, as well as during the night shift, during my 6.5-year career in the Air Force.
While at Tyndall AFB, I helped the new Airmen get acquainted with the base and procedures, as well as helped the civilians with any problems that arose in the phlebotomy area, such as hard sticks and help with the computer software called CHCS.
When pilots had to get drug tested during flight accidents, I was a part of the team that was on call to collect the specimen and make sure the chain of command was not broken.
