  • Manages and directs Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) and Mission Assurance functions for one of the most complex programs in the Air Force that consists of a Numbered Air Force, 9 Wings, 7 higher headquarters, 73 tenant organizations and 266 mission partners and DoD associate organizations.
  • Develops risk evaluations and strategies for risk reduction for the Commanding General, covering more than 55,000 personnel and assets worth over $32 billion, spread across an area of over 15 square miles in the 7th largest city in the US.
  • Oversees other security disciplines such as: Physical Security (PHYSEC), Operations Security (OPSEC), Information Security (INFOSEC), Foreign Travel (FT), and Emergency Management (EM).
  • Manages the Installations assets in Enterprise Protection Risk Management (EPRM), Mission Assurance Risk Management System (MARMS), and Strategic Mission Assurance Data Systems (SMADS). Examines plans for building sites to ensure they meet the Antiterrorism/Force Protection (ATFP) standards as per the Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 4-020-01, Security Engineering Planning Manual, UFC 4-010-01, DoD Minimum Antiterrorism Standards for Buildings, and the standards set by the Interagency Security Committee's (ISC) for off-installation government-owned and/or managed assets.
  • Serves as the Fusion Liaison Officer, facilitating cross flow intelligence data exchange with local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Conducts detailed assessments and reviews of defense plans at the installation level, including the Integrated Defense Risk Management Process (IDRMP), Risk Management, and Continuity of Operations (COOP) initiatives. Ensures these plans effectively support DoD Task Critical Assets (TCAs), Protection Level (PL) assets, and mission-critical vulnerable areas (MEVAs). • Provides specialized knowledge to assist installation personnel in creating the comprehensive All Hazards and Threat Assessment (AHTA) and ensuring elements align with Mission Assurance standards outlined in DoDI 6055.17.
  • Develops contract specifications (e.g. Statement of Work, Performance Work Statement, and Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans) and works with the supporting contracting office to prepare contracts involving ATFP standards.
  • Conducts on-site physical security and risk management assessments for numerous Defense Critical Infrastructure assets. . Reviews Military Construction (MILCONS) plans and attended numerous design charrettes for future USAF projects to ensure that physical security and antiterrorism issues are addressed.
  • Develops exercise criteria, creates exercise simulations/deviations, analyzes data, and reports trend information on various tabletop exercises, mini-exercises, and annual full-scale exercises for Wing, tenant and DoDEA facilities based on local threats or potential contingencies.
  • Program Analyst for Critical Asset Risk Management (CARM) Program/Defense Critical Infrastructure Program (DCIP). Analyzes critical missions through a systems engineering approach, assesses reliance on infrastructure, i.e., electric power, petroleum/fuels, telecommunications/Global Information Grid and Security. • Manages Wing, tenant and subordinate units with an understanding of CARM/DCIP methodologies/processes and addressed any programmatic updates or changes that impacted the field.
  • Incorporates the Planning, Programming, Budget and Execution (PPBE) process into the AT program. Implements, coordinates, monitors Force Protection training for active duty/civilian/contractors within Installation.
  • Disseminates appropriate time-sensitive terrorist and criminal threat information during duty and non-duty hours to applicable agencies to ensure assets and personnel are protected.
  • Establishes targeted teams to perform vital Mission Assurance Assessments (MAA), utilizing DoD Benchmarks, UFC, and ISC standards on DoD assets, personnel, and facilities, covering areas such as Antiterrorism, Physical Security, Emergency Management, CBRNE,Continuity of Operations, Communications and Network Infrastructure, Cybersecurity Operations, Supporting Infrastructure, Security Engineering (Structural, Utilities, Electrical Power, EMP, Water and Wastewater Systems, Fire Protection, Bulk Fuels, Petroleum, Oils, and Lubricants, Natural Gas, HVAC), Chemical Infrastructure, Transportation, Munitions Operations, Operations Security (OPSEC), Information Security, and Force Health Protection
