  • As an Inclusion Teacher, collaborated with Middle School and High School General Education teachers to collect data and other pertinent information to develop and implement effective individual education plans and accommodations for students who receive Special Education Services.
  • Assisted educators with modifying lesson plans and assessments, implementing differentiated instruction techniques and incorporating diverse learning materials in order to increased student understanding and ensure that students who qualified for Special Education Services received their services and documented accurately.
  • Implemented effective behavior management plans, resulting in fewer disruptions and increased focus on learning tasks.
  • Maintained open lines of communication with parents and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on student progress and achievements.
  • Worked to identify seniors who had interest in serving in the United States Military to complete their ASVAB Test, be introduced to recruiters of all military branches to learn about the benefits of joining the military and create an plan of action to guide them from high school to the Armed Forces.

  • Grew the Girls Basketball program from one player at the beginning of the school year to finishing the season with 10, the most since 2019 with one student-athlete being name Co-Newcomer of the Year, one receiving First Team All-District Recognition, one receiving Second Team All-District Recognition and four receiving Academic All-District Recognition.
  • Increased the total numbers in the Golf program to 14 with the boys team finishing 4th place and the girl’s finished 3rd in District 9-4A with two players qualifying for the Regional Tournament.

  • As The Special Education Liaison, worked with teachers to implement accommodations and modifications effectively and create strategies to reduce behavior issues in the classroom.
  • Worked with students assigned to the CHOICES program to help them learn how to make better decisions and function appropriately in the school and in the community.
  • Conducted research on the effects of cell phone usage on campus which was used by the district to create Cell Phone Usage Policies and also to complete my Doctoral Program at Liberty University.
  • Led Freshman Girls Basketball and assisted Junior Varsity and Varsity Girls Basketball programs with skill development, strength and conditioning, strategizing, transportation and scouting.
  • Successes included the Freshman Girls Basketball winning the 1st Annual Freshman Girls Basketball Tournament and Varsity Girls Basketball being Bi-District Champions and Area Finalist with two players winning the District 5-6A Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year Awards, two receiving All-District First Team Recognition and two receiving 6A Region 2 First Team Recognition.
  • As the Assistant Varsity Softball Coach, duties included improving player skills by designing targeted practice drills focusing on fundamentals, techniques, and game strategy.

  • Created and served as the Tournament Director for the Sunset Alumni Varsity and JV Tournaments
  • Overall record of 49-21-1 with success included being Runner-Up in the 2020 Dallas ISD Tournament – Large School Division, winning the Sunset Tournament 2020 and Runner-Up in 2022, qualifying for the playoffs in 2021 and was District 17-5A Runner-Up in 2022.
  • Was recognized as a top softball team in 2020 and finished the regular season ranked 24 in Class 5A by the TGCA for the first time in school history.
  • Had seven student-athletes obtain scholarship offers to play softball in college with six students received Academic All-State Recognition one student-athlete named Defensive Player of the Year in 2021, one student-athlete named Catcher of the Year in 2022, and five students receiving First Team All-District Recognition in my tenure.
  • Co-Founded “The Madden Club” with several other coaches in 2022 and served as a member of the Inaugural African American Student Initiative (AASI) Program that provides mentorship, guidance, and tutoring to African American Students
