Work History

Lead Electrical and instrumentation Tech.

NV Energy
03.2022 - Current
  • Same duties as I had at PIC group except, I have moved my way up to the lead position for the E and I shop since I have joined NV Energy. I am proficient in the Maximo system including writing stock requests, writing work orders, approving work orders, and doing material requisitions. I run the crew and have been doing a lot of planning for the shop. I deal with vendors, order parts as needed, and get parts put into stock for daily use and outages. I have led the crew through a coal to gas boiler conversion on both units that we have out here.

Electrical and instrumentation Tech.

PIC Group
Valmy, NV
08.2021 - 03.2022
  • My duties included electrical, instrumentation and controls for a coal fire powered plant. I did all duties from PMing breakers to troubleshooting through our Ovation and PLC systems. Worked on instrumentation including everything from the boiler drum to the coal yard. I have worked on many systems in the plant and am knowledgeable in them.

Electrician

Challenger Companies
Boise, ID
11.2020 - 07.2021
  • The install and demo of equipment at Micron Tech. The job entails running conduit from panels to equipment, installing basket tray for communication and power cables. We also pull and land wire in the panel and equipment, anywhere from communications to power. We worked in clean rooms so safety and cleanliness were a high priority when it came to this plant.

Electrical and Instrumentation tech.

Nevada Gold Mines
Elko, NV
02.2020 - 11.2020
  • Job duties include troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems of a burner mill used to refine gold. This includes Motors, transformers, the mill, many other processes, and the instruments used to monitor the process. I was very familiarized with group LOTO systems and safe work practices. We had a mercury recovery plant and an acid plant. These systems required a lot of knowledge on proper PPE and how to not be exposed to these chemicals while working on equipment.

Electrical, Instrument, and Control tech.

Ormat Tech.
Austin, NV
01.2019 - 01.2020
  • Maintained three geothermal power plants near Austin, NV. Job included maintaining and calibrating all instruments and valves around our facilities. Replace motors, MCC buckets and install new electrical equipment. Also, I have experience with ladder logic and RSLogix5000 since we used it very frequently. This plant consisted of 9 generators and 18 turbines and could put out 200 MW of power and consisted of a lot of instruments that needed worked on daily.

Shift Electrician

Round Mountain Gold Corp.
Round Mountain, NV
08.2018 - 01.2019
  • I took trouble calls throughout the mine including working around the shovels, substations, mill, dewatering, the pit, Refinery, lime bins, and 3 crushers. My partner and I were who the mine relied on when equipment would break, or they couldn’t get stuff running. I learned how to prioritize job priorities from most crucial to least crucial. We also did PMs in the meantime while there were no trouble calls.

Electrician

I and E Electric
Elko, NV
09.2017 - 07.2018
  • Worked on mostly industrial electrical for the mines and commercial work in Elko and surrounding areas. I have worked on many projects for various mines, plants, and factories. These projects included anything from high to low voltage. I was the lead of typically a group of 4 or 5 guys. I would make sure we had all parts ordered for the job daily, that all transformers and panels were sized correctly, the work area was clean/safe and that we were keeping up with our timelines for each job.

Apprentice Electrician

Enhanced Electrical

11.2015 - 09.2017
  • Worked in reno doing mostly commercial work including new buildings, remodels, and installs. Some of the bigger projects I worked on were Fudruckers, Red Robin, many office buildings, and warehouses. Most of my duties included the installation of new services, running conduit from new panels to branch circuits, and installing the fire systems.
