  • As a member of the New Product Introduction (NPI) supplier quality assurance engineering team, the primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth execution and transition of a product design through the various phases of design and manufacturing releases and to ensure the successful prototype/First Article and production releases and logistics at key suppliers
  • Work closely with the design and development team throughout the design cycle with involvement in the early stages of design including concept feasibility, preliminary and critical design reviews, engineering document reviews, and release processes
  • Work closely with the logistics, quality, and supply chain sustaining teams to define and maintain production release schedule, material deviations, process trouble shooting, and similar activities at the sub-tier level suppliers
  • Engage key suppliers early and in all phases of the product design cycles including material and process investigation, product specification review, cost target containment, tooling, design industrialization, production variation control and process capability, timely execution of production control documentation, and transition plans to sustaining mode
  • Participate in annual performance review and site audit for key suppliers and critical design products
  • Conduct on-site product specification and production process reviews using tools such as SPC and pFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis)
  • Create and maintain the production compliance documentation including SOW, TAS, PQR, TCD, and PER while executing releases throughout the KD cycle
  • Assume ownership of resolving production deviations through DNs at the suppliers and in-plant product variation through MNs throughout the assembly and test cycles
