As an X-ray technician, I perform the X-rays as requested by the referring doctor. I make sure radiation is kept to a minimum by the patient's body size, as well as the anatomy of interest. Shielding patients and providing the best care possible for them, while making the patients feel comfortable. Other duties include making CD discs for patients and doctors. Besides doing X-rays, I also do computed tomography as needed by my supervisor or by covering for other CT techs from time to time. I started learning CT back in 2022, and I just recently passed the CT registry.
