Dental Hygiene Student
In the middle of July in 2025, I had to attend to dental practices in my neighborhood feel the experience of being a dental hygienist. Before my first day visiting a dental office, I had to call dental practices and asked them if their dentist or dentists were allowing a college student that is looking to be a dental hygienist. Once I got their approval, the assistant director was able to find a day for me to come so i can start getting my certain amount of job shadowing hours in order to get into the Dental Hygiene Program at Oakland Community College Orchard Ridge Campus at Farmington Hills, Troy Michigan. I was able to come in on the middle of the July and I was only allowed to come during patient hours.
During my visit at Cosmetics Dentistry Institute, I was with the Registered Dental Hygienist name Danielle and she was a very nice hygienist. She showed me her work area, the sterilization room and the gift area. I even got to meet the dentist Dr. David Whalen and he was also very nice. I got to see the different the types of services that Hygienist Danielle was doing. I got to saw what a deep cleaning looks like with 2 patients and for the other patient i got to see Hygienist Danielle do a regular cleaning.
