A visionary leader in the arts sector for over fifty years, I've spearheaded numerous initiatives , fostering opportunities throughout my career for individual artists and cultural workers, for the arts in general, and for community engagements - especially for people from marginalized communities. My expertise in strategic planning and creative problem-solving has catalyzed significant projects, including national, statewide, and local efforts.. My collaborative approach and conceptual thinking have been, hopefully, valuable in helping to advance the development of artists and communities . My advocacy and voice have been, hopefully, useful in building a culture of care for past, present, and future creative communities.
As a member of the CRNY Think Tank. I served as one of the co-designers of its programs and the development of the project - a New York State initiative which developed 300 full-time jobs for artists and a Guaranteed Income program for 2400 artists. The initiative was spearheaded with major support from the Andrew Mellon Foundation with additional support from the Ford Foundation and the Starvros Niarchos Foundarion.
I am also an Advisor to CitiLore for the development and planning for an exhibition and public programs about the New York City CETA Artist Program.

Responsible for developing an initiative to develop more affordable marketplace sites and other entrepreneurial opportunities of NYC craft artists with a special concentration for artists from marginalized communities of color and new immigrant and Diaspora communities.

Responsible for leading a consortium of artist serving organizations to develop a grants program for artists of color in all disciplines. This was an initiative which was part of a national effort spearheaded by Leveraging Investments in Creativity.
