Theodore (T.J.) May, III

Redesigned the SIP program working mainly with kids with severe emotional disturbance issues. Developing IEPs, BIPs, assessments, data collection, SEL lesson plans and SDI for various content areas. Served as a football coach for three years and softball coach for one. Active in the halls with all students.

Designed and developed a self-contained classroom for kindergarten students on the Autism spectrum. Facilitated inclusion opportunities, developed IEPs, BIPs, data collection, lesson plans and differentiated instruction using ABA and functional academic techniques.

Acted as a 1:1 aide for a first grader with downs syndrome and ASD through the end of 2020. Then returned as a full time substitute teacher in two comprehensive life skills classrooms. I work with K-6 students that presented various cognitive, physical, or behavioral exceptionalities. Supported to the lead teacher in carrying out lessons and supported the children with their various needs.

I worked in both a middle school and high school setting as an ABA Behavior Therapist developing BIPs, IEP goals, data collection and 1:1 support in classrooms and school events. Also provided in-home family training helping families better support their children with exceptionalities in the home and in public.
