  • As a phlebotomist working for Carter Blood Care with several key responsibilities, such as drawing blood from donors through venipuncture, proper labeling, and documentation, preparing blood samples for lab testing or processing. Making sure donors were comfortable and provided care before, during and after their blood donation. Additionally, keeping phlebotomy equipment cleaned, sanitized and in good working condition. Also following strict safety and infection control protocols to ensure the health and safety of donors and staff.   • As a medical debt collector, I was responsible for recovering unpaid medical bills from patients. It was a 3rd party collection agency, our duties included contacting patients via phone and mail to remind them of their outstanding debts, negotiating payment plans, and helped avoid any legal actions while trying to recover said debt. As a medical debt collector, it was a must to adhere to regulations and laws, such as FDCPA, which ensures our way of communications with consumers, to treat them with respect and fairness.
