Staff RN adult oncology clinic.

Primarily responsible forall patient care and needs, education, prior authorizations, locating community resources, coordinating appointments , treatments, and testing.

Staff RN pediatric endocrinology outpatient clinic.

Responsible for administering growth hormone testing, obtaining lab samples and giving medications.

Responsible for prior authorizations, ordering of medication with the provider, and education for families and patients.

• Worked between 2 units, pediatric hem/onc and pediatric bone marrow transplant
• Responsible for care of medically complex children and young adults
• Administration of chemotherapy, supportive medications and infusions, blood product transfusions, and infusion of stem cells/bone marrow
• When in charge role, Responsible for both units
• Required to run stang matrix, reviewing possible admissions and transfers
• Educating families and patients on home medications, including dressing changes and home injections

I had finished orientation on a combined Adult and pediatric BMT unit 2nd week of August 2005. We then lost our hospital and unit to Hurricane Katrina

Charge RN on adult med/surg unit

Attend multidisciplinary meetings to discuss plan of care, improvement initiatives, any other areas of concern.

Responsible for managing schedule for all staff members, day and night shift.

Division Officer responsible for operations in primary care clinic, managing provider, patient, and staff schedules.

Responsible for flu vaccine clinic annually, ensuring compliance.

Oversee vaccine clinic for both annual vaccines and allergy shots.

Case Manager for adult diabetic population, meeting to assist with care and compliance.

• Worked on 2 dierent inpatient units while Active Duty
• Pediatric med/surg/oncology and Adult Inpatient Mental Health.
• Responsible for care of entire team, 5-10 patients while overseeing care provided by Corpsmen.
• Administer chemotherapy and supportive means to patients.
• Educate parentsand patients on diagnosisand plan of care.
• Responsible for running cognitive behavioral therapy groups daily.
• Responsible for de-escalation and group planning to prevent harm and injury for both patientsand
