My first 3 years were on 3200, a neuro/ ortho unit and then in 2001 switched to become a labor and delivery nurse for 13 years at unity hospital before transferring to Rochester General to the postpartum unit and woman’s health, where I have been for over 10 years

• Volunteered for over 2 years caring for hospice patients and their families in a small 2 bed comfort care home until they closed down in 2020 because of covid.

Worked for 4 years on a busy medical- surgical unit and learned to prioritize and care for a wide range of patients , from surgery to dialysis patients as well as complex medical patients.

• Assisted nursing staff with daily patient care tasks and needs.
• Monitored vital signs and reported changes to healthcare professionals.
• Maintained cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and equipment.
