  • It is also the principal teaching hospital of Tufts University School of Medicine
  • Increasing expansion of assigned responsibilities with a consistent track record of enhancing the organizational performance in Staff Engagement, Patient Experience, Quality, Financial Performance, and Growth
  • Led inpatient capacity/access turnaround plan, leveraging the talents of crucial Administrative, Nursing, and MD leadership team members, leading to a 14% improvement in discharge through a 0.45-day LOS improvement and Improved % discharge by 2 pm FY 2023 – FY 2024
  • Developed and enhanced the Center for Patient Placement, optimizing clear and concise interprofessional communication, prioritization, and minute-to-minute decision-making supporting patient access
  • Implemented systems leading to fiscal accountability throughout the Patient Care Services division with 15% favorable S&W variance, including contract labor utilization FY 2024
  • Through an innovative approach to the workforce challenges, a model of care redesign was created, introducing three new non–RN roles that support patient care progression while enabling RN top-of-licensure
  • This was in part responsible for eliminating contract labor and enhancing RN retention, with RN turnover from 12 – 7.7% over 18 months
  • Enhanced the engagement of RN staff within the union environment as measured through NDNQI, Culture of Safety, and Staff Engagement Surveys, improving scores year over year with an RN engagement improvement of 0.35 in 2022 – 2023

  • Together with CMO, led inpatient capacity and revised care models during the 2019 – 2021 COVID–19 epidemic, increasing ICU capacity by 85%
